Sweet Home Aggieland!

This past weekend Kelly and I made the trek back to A&M for Ty and Haleigh's wedding. It was the first time I'd been back there in almost 2 years, I think. At least it felt that way. My how that little town has changed! They've added numerous restaurants, the Theta House is under construction and they've finally finished working on Texas Ave - but one thing's for sure - the Spirit's still the same!

We had a great time hanging out with Ty and Haleigh and Kelly got to catch up with some old friends. The wedding was on Saturday at St. Mary's across from A&M. They had a Kyle Field Groom's cake, played the Aggie War Hymn and the couple drove away in an old timey maroon convertible car. Gig 'em Aggies!! Click here for some pics of the wedding!

Friend Frenzy!

I got back from Albuquerque on Wednesday night and was WIPED OUT - but no time for resting at our house! Thursday night we had a visitor :) Thad finally came to see us!! He and Kelly hung out all day Friday and had a great time catching up. Then Wes, Brandye, Clay, Ryan, Thad, Kelly and I all headed out for a reunion dinner! (Roll call, gangs all here!) Then everyone (minus Ryan) spent the night at our house. It was so much fun having everyone together again. It reminded us of the good ol' college days. Once everyone got up and got moving, we headed to the lake for our 2nd Annual Boating Adventure. We did a little tubing, a little skiing, and a LOT of sun bathing. Well, Brandye and I did. The boys did the manly stuff like drive the boat. After a long day on the lake we'd worked up an appetite so we headed out for another yummy dinner. Sunday we all went to church at Wes' new church, First Baptist Church Sunnyvale, and then Kel and I headed to Mom and Dad's house for Father's Day lunch.

It was so much fun having everyone together again! Let's do this again soon!!

All Work and No Play

Two weeks ago today I flew to Albuquerque, NM for the 28th Annual SWA/ABQ Golf Tournament. This was not your average golf tournament! I arrived on Sunday morning to get started on all of the event logistics and as I was heading in - there were several golfers who were heading out for their 2nd day of golf! And the tournament hadn't even started yet. It was so crazy. I felt like I was at the PGA. Several of the other girls and I went to help on the volunteer side of the tournament and to set up and run the awards banquet. We had plenty to do to keep us busy but we found time to layout, lounge around and have fun! So I guess there was some play time in there after all. Thanks for another FUN trip SWA!

A few random updates…

1. So comical.
So today I was asked if I wanted to play in a co-ed softball league. Hilarious, I know. These unsuspecting individuals have NO concept of the lack of my athletic ability. I mean yes, I will fight ‘til the day I die that swimming is a real sport. And I’m still quasi training for the triathlon. But anything with eye-hand coordination is completely out of the question. I regretfully declined the invitation, sparing anyone from the humiliation that would ensue.

2. LOVED.IT.
Sex and the City came out this past weekend and I LOVED IT! Katherine, my boss, is just as much a fan of the New York set, drama filled series as I am and we’re dying to see it again! Maybe even a third time.
