I mentioned in my last post that we recently made the trek down to A&M for the season opener! We had such a wonderful time visiting our old stomping grounds and soaking in the Aggie Spirit. It was a great game, ending in a 41-6 victory over the University of New Mexico. Gig 'em Aggies!

The O’Donnell Hotel

Visit #1

The weekend after we returned from Palm Springs we opened up the O’Donnell Hotel to friends and family! Our first visitors were the Fergusons. Michael, Virginia, and their almost two year old pup, Major, came to visit for the long Memorial Day weekend. This was the first time Cooper had a friend spend the night and boy did they wear each other out! They got in town late Friday night and we all stayed up way past our bed times catching up and watching the pups get acquainted with one another. Saturday morning we slept in and then headed to Wiggly Field, a dog park in Denton. (Cute name, huh?!) The pups had a blast running around and playing fetch in the little pond behind the park. (I didn’t get any pictures from the dog park on my camera, but will update when I get them from Virginia.) Saturday night we went to dinner at Hard Eights, a bar-b-que restaurant in Coppell, and then came home for some more relaxation. Sunday we went to church, ate a quick bite, and then it was time for Michael, Virginia, and Major to hit the road and head to Fort Worth to visit her family.

Visit #2

The next weekend we had our second set of visitors come stay at the “O Hotel.” This time, it was Kelly’s family. His mom Sarah, sister Mandy, brother in law Ray, nephews Aaron and RJ, and niece Megan came in town on Friday evening May 29. Or should I say early Saturday morning. They technically didn’t arrive until 3:30 a.m. Saturday morning! They were traveling all the way from Midland, TX and didn’t get on the road until late Friday night. When Kelly and I woke up Saturday morning, we were pleasantly surprised to find our house filled with family. Cooper was so overjoyed with excitement that he leaped onto the couch and planted his left paw in Ray’s coffee, causing the entire cup to spill on the couch and all over the carpet. Thankfully, Kelly’s mom brought a handy steam vac with her and we were able to get the stains up with no problem!!

Saturday afternoon, we all loaded up in the car and headed to Kelly’s uncle’s house in Valley View, TX for a family reunion. His uncle lives on a farm/ranch with lots of land, two horses, a 4-wheeler! Even Cooper got to come along for the ride. We had a great time catching up with Kelly’s extended family and apparently Cooper did too! On two separate occasions, Cooper busted through his leash and ran into the horse pin, jumping right into the horses drinking pond. He rolled around in the dirt (which we later found out was mixed with horse manure) and then played chase with Kelly while he tried to wrangle him back out of the horse pin. What a nightmare! But we were thankful he was able to come with us just the same! Sadly, I didn’t get any pictures of Cooper and his antics! On Sunday we ate breakfast and then it was time for the gang to hit the road! But that wasn’t the end of our weekend…

Chicago meets Roomies!

As my college roommate Emily said, "Chicago, meet the roomies." And that's exactly what we did! On April 15th, Jennifer, Emily, and I headed to the Windy City! We were in desperate need of a girls trip. At least that's what we told our husbands :) After we got together during spring break, we decided we needed to get out of Texas and spread our wings in Chicago. And from then on, April 15th couldn't come fast enough. So here goes the story of our journey in Chi-Town....

First off...we weren't actually sure we were all going to make it to Chicago. Jen started out the trip with a minor heart attack. On the way to the airport her cell phone died, and she wasn't sure how she was going to meet up with me. I had her tickets, security document, and everything she needed to check in for her flight. Luckily, I wasn't too far behind her and I found her standing by the curbside check-in with a look of panic all across her face! We had a quick laugh and then it was off to check in for our flight. Meanwhile, Emily was in Houston trying her hardest to knock all the other stand-by passengers off the list so she could squeeze her way on board into the last seat on the plane. Jen and I were waiting anxiously for play by play text messages as Emily went from 13th on the stand by list to 1st! Thank you, Lord, for hearing our prayers! I don't think we've ever been so excited for a seat on a Southwest Airlines flight! Once we were off the ground, it was just a matter of time before we'd be running all over the city.

When Jen and I landed we were welcomed by a host of military personnel. We weren't sure what was going on but we stopped to snap a quick photo with her iPhone (she charged it before we got on the plane in Dallas), and the next thing we knew, one of the men staying close by asked us if we wanted to have our picture taken with a man in uniform. We were totally taken back by his offer and awkwardly obliged him with a photo. {See photo below. Side note, with three type A personalities wanting to capture the sights of the city, there were WAY too many pictures to post them individually. So, you will find them below for your viewing pleasure.} Come to find out, everyone was there waiting on a WWII Veteran plane to land. We didn't stick around.

Once we got our bags and met up with Em, we were off to the hotel. On our way to catch a cab, an little Italian (I think) man came running up to us yelling, "Going downtown. Leaving now. $39. Going downtown. Leaving now. $39." After we figured out it would only cost us $13/person we decided to take his shuttle bus downtown to our hotel. It was quite an adventure. First off, there was NO air and Emily was melting. Bless her heart, she was already sick to her stomach from the airplane. Then, Jen and I couldn't get past the smell of alcohol coming from the guy sitting next to us. Emily had one of those "talk your year off" passengers sitting next to her and we were lucky we didn't ram into the cars on either side of us as we passed them with such speed! We were so thankful to make it in one piece to our hotel room. We passed out almost immediately (after packing our travel bags for the next day) since we had to be up at 4:00 am for OPRAH!

Our first morning in Chicago was an early one, but that didn't seem to phase us as we were too excited to experience the adventure of being on the Oprah Show. The filming that we attended wasn't live but should air sometime this month. {Be sure to check back for updates on when our episode will air.} After going through several security check points, we finally made it inside and had amazing seats (7th row, dead center!) There were even cast members from the musical "Mary Poppins" in our audience! So cool :) We didn't have a special guest on our show, rather Oprah featured Hometown Heroes and talked with the various groups via Skype. It was a great experience to see how they tape the show, cut to commercials, break for hair and makeup, and interact with the audience! Definitely a once in a lifetime opportunity!

Once we were finished at Oprah, we couldn't wait to get our hands on some Chicago-style pizza! We headed to Giordano's to split some bread sticks and a thin crust cheese pizza. It definitely hit the spot. Once our bellies were full, we headed out for a long day of shopping and sightseeing down the Magnificent Mile! We stopped by The Drake Hotel, H&M, Ann Taylor, Banana Republic, Hershey's, and Ghirardelli just to name a few. By the end of the day we had shopped til we dropped and were ready to head back to the hotel for a little R&R.

We couldn't decide on where we wanted to eat dinner, so we finally agreed on P.F. Chang's. I know, I know. "P.F. Chang's? There are a million place to eat in Chicago," you say. Well, it actually turned out for the best because that night our waiter told us about a delicious restaurant that we should try the next night, Bijan's, before we headed to the theater...And if we had never gone to P.F. Chang's, we would have never discovered our hole-in-the-wall find, Bijan's! So, after we split some Lo Mien noodles and Honey Crispy Chicken, we set off for the John Hancock Observatory for what we thought would be a low-key, relaxing end to our busy day.

Well that couldn't be further from the truth! When we arrived at the observatory we grabbed a table, ordered a drink, and began soaking in the Downtown Chicago skyline. A table close by opened up and we moved to it so we could sit by the window. Well, not 5 minutes later, a very"over served" couple came in and plopped down right behind Jennifer and Emily. I had a direct path to see the couple, but only Jen and Em could hear what they were saying. After a long while of very inappropriate behavior, the sleaze bag gentleman leaned in for another kiss. Or so I thought. I glanced at Emily and her face was surprised to say the least. The gentleman wasn't leaning in for a kiss, he was PROPOSING! Right there, in the middle of the observatory! But this wasn't your typical proposal, it was more like the couple needed to get a room-LITERALLY! They were all over each other, slurring through their words, barely able to communicate. Unfortunately, I don't think the poor girl remembered any thing the next morning. Too bad!

After our wild experience we decided to head back to the hotel to crash! The next morning we took our time getting ready, grabbed a bite for breakfast, and then headed out to see some more of the city. We walked across the bridge down to Millennium Park, saw the Bean and the Pritzker Pavillion and stopped in at Park Grill for a quick bite to eat. Then it was off to State and Madison for some more shopping. We hit up H&M again and a few other shops close by and then made our way to grab a bag of the famous Garrett's Popcorn before heading back to the hotel to get dolled up for the evening. We ate dinner at Bijan's and then walked to the Oriental Theater to see A Chorus Line! We had great seats and, as Em pointed out, we could see all the fancy foot work :) And in typical theater fashion, it truly was "One Singular Sensation!" What a wonderful end to another great day in Chicago.

Saturday morning was spent packing our bags, checking our flights, printing our passes, and squeezing in some last minute shopping, but before we could leave Chicago--we had to make one more stop...Gino's Pizza! We definitely saved the best for last! It was a great way to top of our much needed girls trip. We gathered our bags, made our way to the airport, and headed home. All in all, it was a wonderful, magnificent, fun-filled trip--and we can't wait to do it again!

Chi-Town or BUST!

I am so excited I can hardly stand it! Today I leave for Chicago with my college roommates. Can I get a WOO HOO for a girls trip?! Even though our trip was kind of last minute, we had no problem organizing, coordinating, and planning our every move! We're leaving right after work and will stay in Chicago until Saturday. We have a pretty packed agenda and I can't wait to tell you all about it!

Annual Roomie Reunion!

Every March (during Spring Break) my college roomies and I get together and catch up! We didn't really set out to make it a tradition--it just turned out that way! Last year, Jen and I headed to Houston to visit Em. And this year, Em came to us!

Jen and I still live in Dallas, but shortly after we graduated from College, Em made the trek to Houston! And I think we've lost her forever!!



I miss having her so close. I mean come on, I lived with her for 3 years of my life! What do you expect? And just recently, we discovered our roots go back a lot farther than we could have ever imagined. Turns out, her maternal grandparents lived in the same small, east Texas town as my maternal grandparents, and are buried next to one another! (Kind of sad/creepy, I know--but seriously, it is such a small world!)

So back to our mini-reunion...This year, we decided to do an afternoon of pampering, so we treated ourselves to manis and pedis and then headed to Cyclone Anayas for drinks. It was so nice to sit back and have your feet and hands (and necks) massaged while we caught up on life! We love re-living those special memories we've shared over the years and enjoy looking forward to making new ones.

FINALLY some free time! (And Happy Valentine's Day!)

I have been horrible at updating my blog lately. Minus the Smartypants video (wasn't that cute!!) and a few "favorite" shout outs, I haven't had a chance to sit down, upload pictures, and recap whats been going on in our lives. I got out of my rhythm last week and I can't seem to find my motivation lately. But I finally have some free time to get caught up. So here goes...


I thought I had recovered from my week of traveling until I woke up Thursday morning feeling a little under the weather. It had been raining on and off earlier this week and that always seems to have an effect on my allergies. I don't really have allergies to speak of, so I must be allergic to the rain (ha!) That reminds me of a time when I once told Kelly that I thought being kissed in the rain would be so romantic, only to find out I react to the rain like its acid coming down (or so Kelly says.) I can't STAND getting rained on. But back to what I was saying...


Oh yeah, traveling. So I left for Baltimore last Tuesday morning. I was headed up there for a work trip - and that's mainly all it was. I thought we would get to see more of the city but we arrived late Tuesday afternoon and had some down time in our hotel rooms before we headed to dinner. We went to Tsunami, a yummy sushi place, for dinner (even though I really wanted to go have the famous crab cakes at G&M.) I was out numbered in votes. So we loaded up in the car and headed to Annapolis (about 20 minutes away from our hotel.) Mind you, I hadn't eaten since breakfast, and it was now 6:00 pm and I was starving. If you know me well at all, you know I don't do well on an empty stomach. I was beginning to get cranky...but given that we were with strangers, I couldn't very well voice my opinion. So I tried my best not to have a complete come apart as we drove - for what seemed like FOREVER to our final destination.


Once we arrived it took us forever to pick something off the menu. (Again, I was STARVING at this point.) I'm not a HUGE sushi lover and I'm not really the adventurous type when it comes to eating seafood, or raw fish for that matter. (All I really wanted at this point was to drive through McDonald's and load up on their Big Mac and a large fry.) I patiently persevered through the appetizers (tempura shrimp and raw ahi tuna) for our main course which was some kind of spicy mustard roll. I downed about 8 of those rolls so fast I hardly had a chance to swallow. Much to my surprise, they were really tasty.


As we were finishing up with our meal, I went back for one last roll and that's when it happened. I lost control of the slippery little sucker, dropped it in my soy sauce bowl and causing the entire bowl to spill it's contents all over my jeans. "Great" I thought. And its only the FIRST night of my four day trip. What was I going to do? I had to wear those jeans again tomorrow night. Thankfully, one of the girls we were with lived in Baltimore and offered to take them home a wash them for me. What a saint!


But that still didn't get rid of the fact that I had soy sauce all over my pants, we weren't even finished with dinner, and we had a 20 minute drive back to the hotel ahead of us. Oh what a night.


Wednesday was a better day! I got ready and headed to the Baltimore Station with my boss, Ginger, to visit our Ground Operations department there in Baltimore. We got to sit in on some of their daily meetings and watch what happens when a plane lands. It was fascinating to see how they get the bags out of the plane, refuel, restock the provisioning items, load the next passengers onto the aircraft and prepare to push back - all in about 20 minutes! It was quite an amazing operation to witness. Our next stop was the LUV at First Bite luncheon for our new hires. Ginger was the keynote speaker at the lunch. This luncheon gives our new hires an opportunity to mingle with the leadership of our company and provides them the chance to ask questions and get to know those leaders that they might not have a chance to interact with otherwise.


After we finished with the luncheon, we headed back to the hotel for some down time, and got ready for the Message. That's the term we use when referring to the Message to the Field. The Message is when our CEO, Gary, speaks to our employees about the state of our company and where we're looking to head in the near future. He delivers six of these messages each year.


Once the message was over, Ginger and I headed to dinner with Gary and his entourage.

It was a very unique experience for me because at dinner I sat between Ginger, my VP, and Gary, our CEO. There would be NO spilling of the soy sauce tonight, that's for sure! I even had to share the dipping sauce for our bread with Gary. I told him not to double dip...he just laughed.

We headed back to the hotel to crash, only to wake up the next morning at do it all over again in Orlando! The 6:45 am lobby call came all to early on Thursday morning. I was already worn out from the trip.

In Orlando, we went to another LUV at First Bite luncheon, and then headed over to the Orlando People Department to see their new facilities. The "People Department" is what we call our recruiting/hiring department. We had a quick break back at the hotel and then it was time to get ready for the Message that night. Thankfully, about 5:00 pm that evening, Ginger said I didn't have to go to the Message if I didn't want to - so I called Elizabeth to have her come pick me up! I was planning to see Liz and her husband, Dalton, while I was in Orlando but it was only going to be for a few hours the next morning. This gave us the perfect opportunity to go to dinner and catch up! The next morning we woke up and took it easy around the house (which I was so thankful for!) and then we headed out for some afternoon shopping! I had to catch a flight that afternoon to head to El Paso, so we didn't have a whole lot of time to play, but I loved getting to see them for at least a little while.

Friday afternoon I headed from Orlando to El Paso to meet up with my mother-in-law and sister-in-law to attend a Beth Moore conference. My very FIRST Beth Moore conference to be exact. I didn't get in until late Friday night, so we grabbed a quick bite to eat and headed straight to the hotel to crash. Saturday morning as we headed to the conference I had no idea what to expect. I'd heard stories about how Beth Moore's bible studies have changed women's lives and that she is an amazing teacher, so my expectations were a little high. Within the first 5 minutes of the conference, those expectations were blown away! The music, by Travis Cottrell, was amazing! And Beth's authenticity and desire for everyone to know Christ and his Word was evident from the moment she took the stage. What an amazingly gifted speaker. Her talk this time was, "Don't Throw Away Your Confidence - There's Treasure in the Trash." It was wonderful! I was so moved by her knowledge of the Word and amazing memory for scripture. And oddly enough, this past Wednesday evening the women's ministry at my parent's church started the Beth Moore series, "Esther: It's Tough Being a Woman" and I signed up for the class! It is definitely weird to be in a bible study class with women that have been my Sunday School teachers since I was young - but the bible study lesson is amazing nonetheless. I'm really looking forward to learning more about Esther over these next 9 weeks!

Oh 4 Day Weekend...

...how I love you!

I have had the most wonderful time these past few days being lazy around the house, visiting with friends, running errands, and playing with the Coopster. I have to say, I'm thankful for the time to sit down and update my blog because I know tomorrow will begin another busy week around here! I'll give you a few updates on Coop (and FINALLY share some updated pictures) and then fill you in on what's been going on in real life while we've been busy with our pup. (Even though our pup is our real life now :) )

We'll start at the beginning.

Friday
I was able to sleep in a little Friday morning and then I got up to play with the pup! Kel and Thad were busy building Cooper's dog house ALL day (more on that later) and so I called Mom and we headed out for our much needed first manicure of 2009! She brough over a few new toys for Coop. Take a peek:

We ran a few other errands and then it was time to head home. Friday night Kel, Thad, and I met up with Wes, Brandye, and Kathy to see Revolutionary Road. Horrible movie. (Sorry if I just ruined it for you.) After the movie we grabbed some ice cream, chatted awhile, and then called it a night!

Saturday
Saturday morning we took it easy and the boys worked on the dog house some more. (See a pattern here?) Coop and I went for a walk and then crashed on the couch for an afternoon nap! That night we were planning to go to Wes and Brandye's new house to hang out with the whole crew, so I needed to make some brownies to take with us. Just when I thought Cooper was sound asleep on his bed, I made a break for the kitchen to get a head start on the baking. About halfway through the brownie making process I heard a large crash in the living room and ran to see what happened. This is what I found:

My seven week old pup had jumped up on our ottoman/coffee table and managed to curl himself up in a ball in our drink tray. When I yelled "uh oh Cooper" he sat up and gave me this "I didn't do it" look! (He's not quite domesticated yet, Kendall :)) I finished my brownies in time and we headed over to hang out with the crew. Everyone was in town and it was nice to get to hang out as a big group like the old days! We cooked hamburgers out on the grill and then played Wii boxing until we were sore! Sunday

We headed back to Wes and Brandye's neck of the woods to go to church with the crew and ate lunch at their house. Kathy made us YUMMY Chicken 'n Dumplings which was perfect for a cold winter day! That afternoon we headed home around 2 so I could go pick up Jen for some much needed girls time! Our first stop was Centennial Medical Center in Frisco to see our friend Rachel and her brand new baby!

He was/is absolutely precious! Mom and baby were doing great and had TONS of visitors to welcome him into this world! What a little miracle! After the hospital, we headed to Chuy's for some yummy Mexican food and margaritas! It was so nice just getting to chat and catch up! Sometimes emails just won't cut it for us!! After dinner we headed home and then it was off to another movie for Kel, Thad, and me. We saw Frost/Nixon and really enjoyed it. I did fall asleep during some of it, but for the most part (or the part that I saw) it was a good movie!

Monday

This morning I went for a run and the most tragic thing happened. My iPod died. Not just died, like lost power, it froze and wouldn't do ANYTHING. No rebooting, restarting, recovering. No nothing! I was a little worried (and had even started picking out the next color iPod I was going to buy) but was pleased when I plugged it into my computer and it came back to life. (Darn) I mean WOO HOO!

The boys have STILL been working on the dog house (I think they're almost finished), and Virginia came over to play with Cooper! It has been such a beautiful day to play outside. We wore him out though and had to come back inside to rest! Here are a few pics of our growing boy:

I can hear the boys putting the final touches to the dog house and then we're heading over to Jan's house to have a "play date" with Cooper's litter mates! Should be fun (and I'm sure I'll have more pictures to post later!)

Get it?? Christmas Shopping!

Yesterday, Jen and I headed out for this year's first day of Christmas shopping! We'd been planning a day filled with power shopping for a few weeks now, and were both so excited to get a head start on this years hustle and bustle. The weather, though a bit chilly, set the mood for the holiday season. Our first, and longest stop, was our favorite - Target! Then it was off to Hobby Lobby, Crate and Barrel, World Market, and then to the mall. We did a little window shopping while we were out and were able to check a few items off our lists. All in all, it was a wonderful day and a much needed afternoon of girl time!

This is just the beginning of our Christmas shopping, and I can't wait to get everything wrapped and under the tree. {No, I don't have my decorations out yet, but you can bet, it won't be too much longer before I deck the halls!}

They came to visit us a few weekends ago and it was a blast catching up with V and playing with Major! It's so funny how he has a personality all his own. He is a great little pup, very calm (at least he was for us) and he'll melt your heart! Thanks for sharing him with us, V!

In the Carolinas...

North Carolina to be exact - is where you could find me just a few short weeks ago! Liz and I made a quick trip up to Charlotte to visit Kellyn and see her "not so new" stomping grounds. It's hard to believe she's been there almost 6 months now. The girls picked me up from the airport late Friday night and our crazy, way too fast weekend, was off to a bang. We headed to Kellyn's place to get settled, and then out to a local restaurant to grab a bite to eat and relax. And definitely deserved I do believe. I'd had a hard day of dealing with a not so friendly gate agent at American Airlines. After being told to "go stand in the corner" - literally, those words came out of her mouth - I was just thankful to finally be in Charlotte with my girls! Saturday we hit the ground running as we made our way around the shops and restaurants near Kellyn's apartment. We went to a few boutiques (ok, like all of them) and grabbed lunch at Dean and Deluca. We were pooped from walking all over the place, so we headed back to Kellyn's to rest (and yes, all 3 of us ended up asleep on her couch!) Saturday night we went to a really nice sushi restaurant, Nikko. Then we headed out on the town where we met up with Matt, Kellyn's boyfriend, and had a nice night filled with playing catch-up. Sunday we did some more shopping and then it was off to the dreaded airport to head back home. Although the trip was a quick one, I loved getting to see two of my favorite ladies in a city I'd never seen before! Cheers to traveling!

Sweet Home Aggieland!

This past weekend Kelly and I made the trek back to A&M for Ty and Haleigh's wedding. It was the first time I'd been back there in almost 2 years, I think. At least it felt that way. My how that little town has changed! They've added numerous restaurants, the Theta House is under construction and they've finally finished working on Texas Ave - but one thing's for sure - the Spirit's still the same!

We had a great time hanging out with Ty and Haleigh and Kelly got to catch up with some old friends. The wedding was on Saturday at St. Mary's across from A&M. They had a Kyle Field Groom's cake, played the Aggie War Hymn and the couple drove away in an old timey maroon convertible car. Gig 'em Aggies!! Click here for some pics of the wedding!

Friend Frenzy!

I got back from Albuquerque on Wednesday night and was WIPED OUT - but no time for resting at our house! Thursday night we had a visitor :) Thad finally came to see us!! He and Kelly hung out all day Friday and had a great time catching up. Then Wes, Brandye, Clay, Ryan, Thad, Kelly and I all headed out for a reunion dinner! (Roll call, gangs all here!) Then everyone (minus Ryan) spent the night at our house. It was so much fun having everyone together again. It reminded us of the good ol' college days. Once everyone got up and got moving, we headed to the lake for our 2nd Annual Boating Adventure. We did a little tubing, a little skiing, and a LOT of sun bathing. Well, Brandye and I did. The boys did the manly stuff like drive the boat. After a long day on the lake we'd worked up an appetite so we headed out for another yummy dinner. Sunday we all went to church at Wes' new church, First Baptist Church Sunnyvale, and then Kel and I headed to Mom and Dad's house for Father's Day lunch.

It was so much fun having everyone together again! Let's do this again soon!!

Throwback to the Good Ol' Days

Sorry for the delay in updating... here goes!

Two weekends ago, Kellyn, Jill, Erin, and I all headed to Orlando to visit Liz! What a blast!! We were so ready to see each other and by Friday night we were finally all in town. We spent most of the weekend catching up with each other, hearing about those we'd lost touch with and just enjoyed the company of old friends. Liz was a great host and had tons planned for us. We grabbed dinner Friday night, made the necessary stop for late night ice cream, then headed back to Liz's to hang out. Saturday was our day full of sun! We headed to Cocoa Beach first thing in hopes of catching the prime sun rays. For the most part the sun was shining and we all got a little color. However, our bronzed bodies didn't come free and clear. After several hours of persevering through overcast clouds and a few sprinkles here and there - our afternoon got a little more exciting! It started to drizzle, then sprinkle, which turned into light rain, and then... the monsoon hit! Before we knew it the bottom dropped out of the sky and we were scrambling to grab all our belongings and make it to the car before we got SOAKED. Laughing the entire time, the five of us took off running from the beach and headed toward the car. Liz and Jill found some cover underneath an awning while Kellyn and Erin brought up the rear with the rest of our stuff. I was somewhere in the middle, keeping my eyes on both sets of girls. I caught up with Liz and Jill then turned around to signal Kellyn and Erin to our location when all of the sudden - they were gone! They were heading to the car about 100 yards away! So we grabbed all our stuff, again, and jetted back into the rain to meet up with them at the car. We finally all piled inside and headed back home, soaking wet and all! It really was a wonderful afternoon and the experience was priceless! Saturday night we grabbed another delicious dinner, had some more hangout time, and then we all headed back home on Sunday. It was so good to see old friends and it definitely makes me miss the good old days of college! Hopefully we can do this again soon girls!
