**Seven Interesting Facts about Me**
1.
I am horrible at making decisions. Anyone who’s ever been shopping with me knows this trait of mine. I can spend HOURS debating over a minuscule decision. What color nail polish to buy, why one color of sandals is better than another, where I should eat, what I should order to eat, how I should cut/color my hair, etc. And once I've made the decision, then I debate on whether I really need anything after all. This is a very frustrating attribute!
2.
I am a choc-a-holic through and through. I've been known to put away a whole bag of
Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups in one sitting. However, I’m an equal opportunity chocolate consumer, enjoying but not limiting myself to the following candies: M&M’s, Snickers, Milky Way Caramels, Heath Bar, York Peppermint Patties, Tootsie Rolls (when I’m on a “diet”), Mini Twix, Cadbury Eggs, Hershey Kisses, and even Nestlé's Chocolate Chips when I’m in a bind.
3.
I am a sucker for ice cream. On Sunday afternoons Kelly and I will go to Dairy Queen to get a Blizzard. A Snicker/Reese’s Blizzard to be exact. (This defeats the purpose of our Saturday morning workouts, but who cares right?) And, every time we walk down the ice cream aisle of the grocery store, I beg him to let me get a pint of Blue Bell’s Rocky Road ice cream!

I have a low tolerance for annoying sounds. Case in point: When I’m at the gym my goal is to burn as many calories as fast as I can so I can leave the gym and go home to my comfy couch that’s calling my name. Isn't that everyone’s goal?? So I have one question – why do people talk on their cell phones when their on the treadmill at the gym? I was in the middle of a 45 minute run last week and I had to listen to Chatty Cathy three treadmills down talk on her cell phone 30 decibels over everything else – including my iPod. Example # 2: Kelly and I love to go to the movies. However, those people who crackle their candy during the movie or talk the whole way through the show always seem to find the seats right next to us.

I have had the same New Years Resolution for several years. Read more books! I actually own several books I’d like to read. I just can’t decide which one to read first.

The term “Hit and Run” means more to me than the average person. This story is two-fold and I’ll tell it in sequential order.
Part I: The second week of my sophomore year of college I was heading home from the grocery store. Home, at that time, was a small 12x14 room on the second floor of the sorority house. I was in kind of a hurry (can’t remember why now) but the little old lady in the Oldsmobile in front of me was not under the same kind of rush as I was. Just shy of running her off the road, I swerved into the other lane to try to pass her, when all of the sudden I realized why she was driving so slowly. I saw a flash of white, sandy fur and then it was gone! Well, not all the way gone. The full grown Chow was now under my car. The next thing I knew it was flying out from underneath me into the gutter of the highway. Completely shaken up by the whole situation I drove into the Target parking lot (not quite sure why), then to my husband’s house (my “boyfriend” at the time) to get some help, then I went home – where I had an audience of about 15 people lined up to find out why I was balling my eyes out. Regretfully, the Chow did not survived – and didn't have any tags to identify the owners.
Part II: Still during my sophomore year of college, my girlfriend, Liz, and I were on our way to a baseball game at Olsen Field. It was an evening game so the traffic was somewhat heavy. We were stopped at a red light and Liz was on the phone with her dad as I was “people watching.” (One of my favorite pastimes.) I noticed a girl jump out of the passenger’s side of a car a few cars ahead of us. She grabbed some of her belongings from the back seat, and then began to DART across 2 lanes of traffic. The far right lane was a turn lane only, allowing for turning traffic to keep moving at a steady pace. As the pedestrian continued to run through the stopped traffic, she didn't notice the cars coming in the turn lane and made a break for it. But… she didn't stop to look both ways. Next thing we knew she was flat on the ground and her stuff had flown everywhere. She had been hit by a car in the right turning lane. She popped right up, grabbed her stuff, and made her way to the sidewalk where she assessed the damage. Liz’s Dad swore she had internal bleeding from the accident and insisted that we pull over to help her. By the time we would have arrived on the scene, there were plenty of Aggies helping her to safety. However, I don’t know how quickly you can repair a bruised ego.

I still believe Mrs. Doubtfire is one of the funniest movies I've seen!

My third week on the job I had the opportunity to go to Austin to the annual Manager/Director meeting and Awards Banquet. It was three full days of pure CRAZINESS! The other admins and myself volunteered with the Salvation Army, set up meetings, and put together the entire Awards Banquet. Here I am with our Executive Chairman, Herb Kelleher, at the Cattle Barron's Ball! I consider myself lucky as some Southwest Employees have waited up to 10 years to meet this legend! 
I recently celebrated my 6 month anniversary with the LUV Airlines! We celebrated the momentous occasion with tons of food (as always) and the presentation of my 6 month pin. Yeah for no longer being on probation!
