San Francisco, CA

For our one year anniversary we went to San Francisco, CA! What an awesome city! It was a wonderful weekend filled with everything touristy you can imagine. We hit the ground running from the minute we got there. We stayed at the Handlery Hotel, just half a block from Union Square. We saw the Cable Car Turnaround - where men actually get out of the 18-ton cars and manually turn them around! We then headed up to Fisherman's Wharf, Pier 39 and Ghirardelli Square, where we enjoyed some of the yummy foods (and smells) that make the Bay area famous! The next morning we packed up and headed to Alcatraz to see "The Rock." What a neat history lesson!! After a morning at the infamous penitentiary we grabbed our (rented) bikes and rode along the coastline of San Fran and over the Golden Gate Bridge into Sausalito.
