Baby! Baby! Baby!

The weekend before last my Saturday and Sunday were filled with all things BABY! On Saturday morning I helped host a BABY shower for our dear friends, Wes and Brandye. She is due at the end of July and we can't wait for baby Brayden Wesley Jackson to make his entrance!

Don't as me how but I managed to get out of there with only a picture of the centerpiece!

Saturday afternoon/night Kelly and I BABYsat for my cousin Lauren's boyfriend's son, Ben. He was a perfect angel! La La (Lauren) was afraid Ben would cry when she left, but he was too excited to go swimming with Kelly and Nallalleee (Natalie) that he didn't even notice she was gone. In all honesty, I don't know who was more excited, Kelly or Ben! Kelly promptly put on Ben's swim trunks and changed into their matching A&M t-shirts so we could head to the pool!

But before we left, Kelly had to have some mandarin oranges...which Ben ate as well...

We had a great time at the pool, and even managed to lay out a little...

Of course, we had to have a snack (Baked Lays and chocolate chip cookies) ...

After leaving the pool we drove through Sonic to get something for dinner and then headed home to take Cooper for a walk. And my brother, Josh, came over to play!! After our walk we read some books and played with his toys from Sonic.

Then it was time to snuggle up on our pallet while we ate popcorn and watched Superman...

After a LONG day, he finally crashed about 10:00 p.m.

Since we have a two story house we thought it would be best to have Ben sleep with us, so once he dozed off, we climbed into bed--ready for a good night's sleep. Wrong! About 2:30 a.m. I got kicked in the face (now there's a wake up call!) and at one point Ben was playing with Kelly's ear while he was sleeping. All in all we had a blast with Ben and can't wait to help him celebrate his 3rd birthday this Sunday! I'm sure I'll have a post about that!

On Sunday afternoon I had another BABY shower to go to and this one was for Mrs. Marina Simmons! Marina is due August 1, just one week after Brandye, and she's also having a baby boy. I didn't get any pics with my camera but to see the shower visit this site, this site, and this site. The theme was "Boy Oh Boy" and I must say, it was a wonderful shower!

So, I'm sure you're thinking after all that baby exposure that I have baby fever now...well, not quite, but I did find some cute baby crafts that I want to try and have started the list on the right side of my blog. With all the baby talk buzzing around, I thought I might try out some of those ideas for upcoming showers, gifts, etc. We'll see if I actually get around to them!
