Ugh...

Today is just one of those days where I wish I could push reset and start all over. Anyone else with me? Please feel free to share your miserable stories!

Here is a list of events that have happened on this not-so-glorious Monday Morning:

• Surprise last minute task at the office (due first thing tomorrow—tonight if possible)
• Raining on the way to work
• Check engine light comes on
• Also need oil change & inspection (two months overdue)
• Get a call from mechanic that car won’t pass inspection with “check engine” light on
• In the rain my high heel got stuck in the door jam
• Manicure chipped--all but 3 nails (just got this on Saturday!)
• Thought I missed my Defensive Driving deadline (which is one week from today—thank you very much)
• Lost my second FedEx Package in 48 hours (however, this time it wasn’t my fault)
• My stapler broke

So, needless to say, I'm looking forward to what the rest of the afternoon brings...

Is it too early?

Yes, I realize it's only October 22, but is it too early to listen to Christmas music? I've been jamming to "Oh Holy Night" at work today and am SO in the mood for Christmas.

So, what do you think? Is it too early?

Happy Fall!!

Oh I am so excited for fall! Today is October 1 and it feels like fall is officially here :) We've been lucky with several days of beautiful weather in September, but there's just something about October that screams "Fall is here!" (Doesn't that picture make you think of a cool, crisp fall day?!)

I don't have much to blog about today, but here are a few things I'm looking forward to this fall:

• Aggie Football :) (We're going to the A&M vs. Arkansas game this weekend at the new Cowboys Stadium!)
• State Fair of Texas
• Celebrating all the upcoming birthdays! The fall and winter are busy with birthdays :)
• Pumpkin Patches (I hope we get to go to a pumpkin patch this year. They have a HUGE one right by our house, but we missed out on it last year.)
• Dallas Arboretum (Never been in the fall, but I've seen pictures and it's just beautiful)
• Drinking my very first Pumpkin Spice Latte from Starbucks (I'm feeling a little adventurous)
• Wearing warm clothes (sweaters, long sleeves, boots!)
• And of course, Fall means Thanksgiving and Christmas are right around the corner!

I wish I could decorate for Fall, but Cooper is like a loose canon--you never know what he's getting into next!

Oh--and speaking of Coop, I just HAD to share this recent pic of our crazy pup! I was reading The Stoy's Story this morning and nearly fell out of my chair when I saw her post on this exact same thing. Check out our no-so-little-puppy perched in his new favorite spot:

On the road again...

This past weekend was my third weekend in a row to be out of town...but I didn't mind one bit because...

This past weekend was an OVERDUE roomie reunion!

I always love when I get together with these two ladies! We have the most fabulous time together :)



Saturday morning Jen and I flew down to see Em for the day! Em picked us up in her new car and we headed out for a day full of fun.

But of course, we didn't arrive empty handed! We had a gift bag filled to the brim.



We thought she could use a few of her favorite things: York Peppermint Patties, bubble bath, fingernail polish, earrings, a cute pair of unmentionables, Starbucks coffee, a new fall note pad, and some Skittles.

Here are Jen and Em being silly as we head back to watch "Sex and the City" and enjoy a relaxing afternoon together.

Even though our trip was short and sweet, we loved getting to hang out and catch up! Can't wait til we can do it again!

Wedding Weekend!

Well, I've been really bad lately about doing my "Weekend Wrap Ups" so, bear with me as I try to play catch up.

A few weekends ago Kelly and I headed down to Houston to celebrate our friends, Jill and Matt, as they became husband and wife!! I was in the House Party and loved getting to be a part of all of the wedding festivities! We arrived Friday morning just in time for the beautiful Bridesmaids Luncheon at Champions Golf Course in Cypress. The decorations were beautiful, and the food was absolutely amazing. After the luncheon I met up with my dear friend and old college roomie, Emily, and we chatted the afternoon away over a cup of coffee. It was so great to see her in her neck of the woods. Oddly enough, Emily teaches at the middle school where Jill went to school! Small world, huh?

After my chat with Em, we headed to the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner. Here's a pic of Jill and me at the end of dinner. Ready for a BIG day tomorrow :)



On Saturday all the bridemaids and house party met at the Chateau (the location of the reception) and got ready together before heading to the church. This is also when Matt and Jill saw each other for the first time. They took their pictures before the ceremony, and we all watched as Matt waited for Jill at the end of the drive way. He was SO excited to see his beautiful bride.

I forgot my camera at the Chateau for the wedding ceremony, but it was wonderful just the same! One of Matt's groomsmen, Jesse, played the guitar and sang the most beautiful songs, and Matt's dad, Mark, officiated the ceremony--it was so special!

After the ceremony we all headed to the Chateau for a wonderful dinner and a night filled with dancing. And, since there are too many pictures to post them all here, I made a slide show. Enjoy!
