“Toto, I don’t think we’re in Kansas anymore!”

The weather we had last night wasn't quite as bad as the tornado in The Wizard of Oz, but it sure felt that way at 3:30 am this morning! I woke up in a panic after a quick power outage in the early AM. I checked the weather through the windows and everything was blowing all over the place. I turned on the radio and the DJ said “if you can hear my voice and are in Carrollton or Addison you need to seek out shelter in the inner part of your home immediately.” So I woke Kelly up and we made our way into our only closet. We continued to listen to the radio for about an hour, and once the storm passed over us we headed back to bed. I was so depressed when I looked at the clock and realized my alarm was going to go off in 30 minutes! So much for a good night’s sleep.

Here are some pictures from right outside our apartment door. The tree in the second picture missed our back door by about 2 feet. The Lord had his angels protecting us!!
