Lazy Sunday Afternoon

I love lazy Sunday afternoons. It's a time to relax after a busy week/weekend, and get ready for a full week ahead. I hate the part about getting ready for the next week, but I enjoy snuggling on the couch as the weekend comes to an end.

This weekend was unexpectedly wonderful! We had plans of going down to A&M to meet up with friends and catch the A&M vs. OU game, but at the very last minute, our plans changed... possibly for the better! There are several projects we are still needing to finish after moving into our house that we continually keep putting off. Well, since we had time on our side, we decided to make this weekend count for something. Here's a recap of our busy weekend:

• Make a much needed trip to Home Depot
• Stop at Lowe's across the street for a quick price comparison
• Install 3 light kits
• Scrub the fire place
• Install light fixture above the dining area (thank you Dad for all your help with this one!)
• Change air filters (and this one!)
• Purchase new ceiling fan for living room
• Clean the master bath
• Clean the upstairs bath
• Dust, mop, and vacuum (ugh!)
• Organize and file bills (and multiple piles I've been meaning to put away)
• Finish laundry before Sunday night
• Go grocery shopping
• Host "Home Group" breakfast
• Get a manicure and pedicure (I needed a treat after all that work!)
• And now, I'm updating my blog while listening to Harry Connick, Jr.'s "What a Night! A Christmas Album" cd.

It's almost time for dinner and to get ready for next week, but I'll continue to relish in the feeling of accomplishment after clearing all this off my to-do list!
